    Toasted Almond Muffins

    Give your breakfast a more flavorful touch, using orange, almond and powdered sugar for its ingredients.

    INGREDIENTS

    2 1/2 cups all-purpose baking mix
    1 (12-ounce) can NESTLÉ® CARNATION® Evaporated Milk
    1 cup granulated sugar
    1/3 cup vegetable oil
    1 large egg
    1 cup sliced, toasted almonds, divided use
    1 cup softed powdered sugar
    1 tablespoon orange juice

    DIRECTIONS

    • Prepare the oven to 375 degrees F settings. Line an 18 muffin cups with paper or grease with oil.
    • In a large mixer bowl, blend baking mix together with evaporated milk, granulated sugar, vegetable oil and egg. Beat over high speed for 30 seconds.
    • Fold in ¾ cup of almonds into the batter and scoop into the prepared muffin cups by about 2/3-full.
    • Place it into the oven to bake for 18 minutes. Place onto wire racks to cool thoroughly.
    • In a small bowl, mix powdered sugar and orange juice then apply over the muffins. Top with the rest of the almonds and serve.
    • Makes 18 muffins.
