"Your favorite banana bread with a kick. Truly something to look forward to during the weekends."

    INGREDIENTS

    2 cups flour
    1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
    1 teaspoon baking soda
    4 very ripe bananas
    2 eggs
    1 cup sugar
    1 teaspoon cinnamon
    1/2 teaspoon salt
    1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
    1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
    1/2 cup melted butter
    1 teaspoon vanilla extract

    DIRECTIONS

    • Turn the oven on to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Prepare two 8 x 3-inch greased and floured loaf pans.
    • In a large bowl, stir flour, baking powder and baking soda.
    • In a separate bowl, mash the bananas well and combine it with eggs, sugar, cinnamon, salt, nutmeg and cloves. Blend in the melted butter and vanilla extract. Fold in the flour mixture, stirring until a smooth batter is formed. Transfer into the prepared pans and bake for about 45 minutes.
    • Allow loaves to cool in pan for 10 minutes after baking. Remove and cool well onto wire rack.
    • Makes 2 – 8×4 inch loaf pans
