    INGREDIENTS

    • 1 cup Margarine or butter
    • 3/4 cup Sugar, brown; packed
    • 3/4 cup Sugar
    • 2 Eggs
    • 1 3/4 cup Flour, all purpose
    • 2 cups Oats, old fashioned
    • 2 tsp Cinnamon, ground
    • 1 tsp Baking soda
    • 1/2 tsp Salt; (optional)
    • 1 tbsp Sugar
    DIRECTIONS

    • Set the oven to 375 degrees F, Lightly oil your cookie sheets.
    • Soften the butter until it becomes creamy and then pour in the brown sugar and ¾ cup of granulated sugar, while continuously beating until the texture becomes frothy, mix in the egg and then whisk them vigorously.
    • In a separate bowl, combine the flour, oats, a tsp cinnamon, soda and salt and then put them over carefully into the sugar mixture. When they are thoroughly combined.
    • Drop a tablespoon of batter into a lightly oiled cookie sheet making a couple of inches space in between each piece.]
    • Mix the rest of the sugar and cinnamon then dust it into the cookies.
    • Place the sheet inside the oven and let them cook for eight to ten minutes. Place into wire rack for further cooling.
