"This is an easy recipe. Surprisingly too easy for a delicious-tasting delight."

INGREDIENTS
2 cups all-purpose flour
3/4 cup white sugar
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 cup butter
1/2 cup dried currants
1/4 cup buttermilk
1 egg
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon caraway seed |

DIRECTIONS
- Turn the oven on to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
- In a mixing bowl, blend the dry ingredients together. Cut in butter using a pastry blender until mixture resembles coarse meal. mix in the currants, followed by the beaten egg.
- Add milk and stir using a fork until it makes a soft dough. Add more milk as needed.
- Transfer the dough into a floured surface and shape into a ball. Knead for about 6 times and roll it out to 1/4-inch thick. Slice it into squares and wedges using a knife.
- Bake for about 14 minutes.
- Makes 3 dozen (approx.)
