    Cherry Nut Cake Recipe

    INGREDIENTS

    • 1 cup of margarine
    • 2 cups of sugar
    • 4 eggs
    • 2 cups flour
    • 1 jar maraschino cherries, drained, 8 to 10 oz
    • 1 cup chopped nuts ( walnuts or pecans)
    • 1 tsp of vanilla extract
    • 1 tsp of almond extract
    DIRECTIONS

    • Soften the margarine and the sugar together and then toss in the eggs making sure you do it one at a time. Stir in the flour and the cherries and nuts. Toss in the flavorings.
    • Set your oven to 325 degrees F, place the batter into a lightly floured tube pan and then place it inside the oven and let it cook for about sixty minutes.
    • If you prefer to have crispier cake, let it stay inside the oven for fifteen minutes more after it has been cooked.
