    INGREDIENTS

    * 2-1/2 cups flour
    * 3/4 cup sugar
    * 2 teaspoons baking powder
    * 1/2 teaspoon salt
    * 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
    * 2 eggs, beaten
    * 3/4 cup milk
    * 1/3 cup butter or margarine, melted
    * 2 cups (8 oz.) shredded sharp cheddar cheese
    * 1-1/2 cups chopped, peeled apples
    * 3/4 cup chopped nuts

    DIRECTIONS

    • Mix all the dry ingredients together.
    • Combine eggs, milk and butter. Stir this with the dry ingredients, mixing thoroughly. Add the rest of the ingredients, stirring during every addition.
    • Ladle the mixture in a well-greased and floured 9 x 5-inch loaf pan.
    • Place the pan into the oven and bake for about 70 minutes at 350 degrees F. Leave it to stand for 5 minutes before removing the bread off the pan.
    • Makes one loaf.
