    Apricot Almond Biscotti Recipe

    INGREDIENTS

    • 1 1/4 cups flour
    • 1 cup sugar
    • 1/4 tsp. salt
    • 3/4 tsp. vanilla
    • 2/3 cup dried apricot halves, chopped
    • 1/2 cup whole wheat flour
    • 1/2 tsp. baking powder
    • 5 Tbs. unsalted butter, cold, cut into pieces
    • 2 eggs, lightly beaten
    • 1/2 cup almond slivers
    • 1 tsp. granulated sugar
    DIRECTIONS

    • Set your oven to 350 degrees F.
    • Mix together the flour, sugar, baking powder, wheat flour and salt and then fold in the vanilla and butter and then stir in the eggs and then the apricots and almonds.
    • Knead the mixture together until you have formed a soft dough and then cut it in two and then mold them into a 12 inch logs and then place it on paper-lines baking sheet.
    • Flatten the dough making twelve inch width long dough and then dust it with sugar.
    • Place the dough into the oven and allow to cook for twenty five minutes, Place it into the wire racks to cool down for ten minutes before cutting it to an inch diagonal pieces
    • Place it back inside the oven and continue cooking for another seven minutes.
