It is fall season so we better have fun munching on different fruits using this lovely coolies. This recipe has won the first place in a country fair.

INGREDIENTS
- 1/2 Cup butter, softened
- 2/3 Cup sugar
- 2/3 Cup brown sugar
- 1 egg
- 1/4 Cup apple juice
- 2 1/4 Cup flour
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
- 1/2 Tsp. baking soda
- 1/2 Tsp. nutmeg
- 1 Cup apples, peeled (2 GRANNY SMITHS), finely chopped
- 1 Cup walnuts, chopped
Frosting:
- 1/4 Cup butter, softened
- 3 Cups powdered sugar
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 3-4 Tbs. apple juice

DIRECTIONS
- Set your oven to 375 degrees F.
- Combine the butter and the sugar until becomes creamy. Add in the apple juice and the eggs.
- Mix together the dry ingredients and then carefully pour them over the liquid mixture and then stir in the walnuts and the apples. Arrange them into a lightly oiled baking sheet.
- Place the sheet inside the oven and let it cook for thirteen minutes until the color turns medium brown. When done, place them into the wire rack for further cooling.
Frosting:
- Mix together the butter, vanilla, sugar and apple juice together and then stir them thoroughly. Frost the cookies.
