INGREDIENTS
- 2 tablespoons butter or margarine
- 2 medium tart cooking apples, peeled and sliced (2 cups)
- 1/3 cup maple-flavored syrup
- 1 tablespoon light brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon cornstarch
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1 Sara Lee Original Cheesecake, cut into 6 wedges, thawed
- 1 cup chopped walnuts
- Slivered apple for garnish

DIRECTIONS
- Dissolve the butter into a frying pan over moderate flame and then mix in the chopped apples until it becomes soft.
- Using a bowl, combine the sugar, cornstarch, maple-syrup and cinnamon together and then pour them over the apple mixture and then cook for two to three minutes until the mixture becomes thick. Let it cook for another minute and then cool it down and then chill.
- Pour the mixture over the cheesecake and then top it walnuts and then dress it up with slivered apple.
