INGREDIENTS
Almond Streusel:
- 2 tablespoons butter or margarine (firm)
- 3 tablespoons Gold Medal® all-purpose flour
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 2 tablespoons finely chopped almonds, toasted
Dough:
- 1/2 cup butter or margarine (firm)
- 2 cups Gold Medal® all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 2 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup chopped almonds, toasted
- 1 egg
- 1/2 cup half-and-half

DIRECTIONS
- Set your oven to 400 degrees F,
- Combine the butter into the rest of the ingredients until the texture of the mixture becomes flaky and then let it rest.
- To make the dough; combine together the flour, sugar, baking powder, salt and butter using a big mixing container and then add in the almonds and eggs and then mix well until it is not pasty.
- Place the dough into a lightly floured board and then start kneading the dough for around ten times and then place it into 9 inch round cookie sheet. Dust it off with streusel and then flatten it . Slice into eight wedges without separating.
- Place it inside the oven and let it cook for fifteen minutes. Take the wedges off the cookie sheet right away and then hand them out warm.
