INGREDIENTS
- 1/4 cup finely chopped almonds
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 4 egg whites, lightly beaten
- 2 teaspoons almond extract
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon sal

DIRECTIONS
- Set your oven to 375 degrees F and then bake the almonds for about seven to eight minutes and the put it aside.
- Mix together the butter into a moderate sized bowl using an electric beater and then pour in the eggs whites and the almond extract; whisk them thoroughly.
- In a separate bowl, mix the baking powder, flour and salt together and then add in the eggs whites and almonds.
- Lightly oil a couple of 9 x 5 inch bread pans and then split the mixture in halve and then into the pans.
