Banana Bread with Strawberries Recipe

INGREDIENTS
1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 cup rolled oats
2 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
3/4 teaspoon salt
1/3 cup shortening
3/4 cup sugar
1 tablespoon lemon rind (grated)
2 eggs (beaten)
1 cup mashed banana
1/2 cup mashed strawberries (fresh or frozen)
DIRECTIONS
Mix together the rolled oats, baking powder, baking soda, salt and flour; stir them well.
Using a separate bowl, soften the sugar and the shortening and whisk them for a couple of minutes while gradually pouring in the eggs.
Combine the mixtures together. Toss in the mashed bananas, lemon rind and mashed strawberries.
Lightly oil a bread and then set your oven to 350 degrees F and then bake it for sixty to sixty five minutes.
